Maxwell Maltz – The Importance of Self-Image
Do you know how your self image impacts the results you get in life? Watch this video to discover why Psycho-Cybernetics founder Dr. Maxwell Maltz considered self-image to be “the key to your personality, to your behavior, to your character”… and a primary driver for achieving the outcomes you want in life.
The Importance of Self-Image
Dr. Maxwell Maltz was a world-famous plastic surgeon who discovered the incredible power that existed in a person’s self-image. Through his research, he realized that the real source of people’s issues and concerns was not of their outward physical appearance, but how they thought about themselves.
After nearly a decade of counseling hundreds of patients, while pursuing extensive research of everything from German missile guidance technology (then more advanced than our own) to hypnosis, and testing his evolving “success conditioning” on athletes, salespeople and others, Dr. Maxwell Maltz published his findings and then-radical ideas in the book Psycho-Cybernetics in 1960. The book was an instant bestseller. Over the next ten years, Dr. Maltz’s articles were published in Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Reader’s Digest, and many other magazines; corporations sought him out; he became a much-in-demand speaker; and individual athletes, artists, and executives sought his counsel.
Dr. Maltz’s principles of Psycho-Cybernetics have inspired and enhanced the lives of more than 30 million people throughout the world. Psycho-Cybernetics moved human development out of the realm of wishing, hoping, and inconclusive techniques, and into the realm of predictable, positive results.
